Hosted plans, what counts as a response, and what each tier includes
Hosted Clanker Support is usage-based and paid-only — there is no free hosted tier. You pay for what the agent actually does: every AI response it sends counts toward your plan's monthly quota. Replies your teammates send from the inbox are human replies — they are never metered — and there are no per-seat fees. Prefer to run it yourself? Self-hosting is free.
What counts as a response
- One AI-generated answer in the widget = one response, recorded the moment it's produced.
- Human replies from the team inbox are unlimited and never counted.
- The counter resets at the start of each calendar month (UTC).

Annual billing is 10× the monthly price — two months free.
Model access: every project picks from a curated set of web-search-capable models. Starter is limited to the lighter "basic" class (mini/nano/haiku/flash/lite/small-class models); Growth and Scale unlock the full catalog. See AI responses.
What happens past the quota
- Starter hard-stops: once the 2,000 included responses are used, the agent stops answering until the next month or an upgrade. Human replies keep working.
- Growth and Scale meter overage: responses beyond the included quota are billed per additional response through Stripe, so the agent never goes dark mid-month. Your usage — including how far over you are — is visible on the billing page.

Self-hosting is free
The entire stack is open source (MIT, theopenco/llmchat). Self-host it with your own LLM Gateway key — you pay your model provider directly, and nothing is metered by us. See Self-hosting.
